It's true that you don't know what you've got until it's gone. Travelling through foreign lands we came to appreciate what we missed about home. And when events during our motorcycle journey saw us waiting it out in England, we saw it as an opportunity to explore, rather than an unwanted delay. We also realised as we moved that staying in one place and really getting to know it was the best way to uncover those little hidden gems that grow your love for a country. Now we're back again and we're keeping that attitude at the forefront of our minds with Garden Trails.
Land's End to John o'Groats is a common journey within the British Isles, and it's often done at break neck speed. But what about all the interesting little nooks and crannies in between? We want to get into them and explore.
And Britain is well known for being expensive but surely you can explore here on a budget?
We know you can and we've had a lot of fun here on a very limited budget recently. And there are so many wonderful little initiatives and small businesses working hard under the radar which welcome interaction, interest and maybe a helping hand. As someone passing through, these places give you the chance to immerse yourself in the local community, meet people and enrich your experience. We want to find and celebrate these places and bring them all together in one place so that you can enjoy them too.
